Jean joined the Institute as Manager Leadership Programs, which includes the Leadership Academy, the Higher Expectations Program – Secondary and Tertiary and the Youth Community Action Program. Jean has worked mainly as a Consultant and Manager in various sectors including Indigenous and Multicultural Affairs, Arts and Culture, Community Development, and Education and Training. Her expertise extends to project and event management and communications.

Jean has worked in Australia, the Pacific and the Caribbean. She has a Social Science degree majoring in Anthropology and her Post Graduate study was in the area of Mass Communications. Projects she has worked on include health and education initiatives based on recommendations from the ‘Aboriginal Death in Custody’ report, the Festival of Pacific Arts and the ‘Integrated Services Centres’ pilot project providing specialist services to Refugees.
