Simon arrived at CYI in July 2006 to be part of the Welfare Reform Project. His background is in economics and philosophy and he holds a PhD from Monash University where he taught a variety of subjects in the philosophy department during his doctoral candidature. As part of the Design Team, Simon is committed to advancing the Cape York agenda through work that is intellectually subtle yet thoroughly practical; always tough-minded yet never insensitive.
